The length is perfect—short enough to feel flattering and breathable, but still provides enough coverage to feel comfortable during workouts or just running errands.The material is another big win. It’s lightweight, soft, and dries quickly, which makes them ideal for running or gym sessions. They don’t feel stiff or cheap like some other athletic shorts I’ve tried. The high waistband is also very comfortable and stays in place without digging in.I also love the zip pocket—it actually fits my phone securely, which is a huge plus when I’m on the go.Only small note is that if you’re between sizes, you might want to size up.

I received the BMJL Women’s Athletic Shorts (high waisted running style), and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite go-to workout shorts.The high-waisted design is super flattering and stays in place during workouts, which is a big win—no constant adjusting. The waistband has a nice stretch without feeling too tight, giving support while still being comfortable.The fabric is lightweight and breathable, made from a polyester/spandex blend that dries quickly and keeps you cool. (Walmart.com) I’ve worn these for workouts and just running errands, and they’re comfortable for both.

These are fairly fitted— true to size, but a bit snug vs true running shorts. I like the 1 zippered side pocket, and the blue and white stripes are so cute!

Inconsistent Cut of Fabric Across Color Styles
I had previously bought these in black, purple, and tan in a M and they all fit great! When I ordered the same size (M) in the pink plaid and green stripes, the outside shell material is significantly cut larger — everything about them seems wide and almost unflattering. The built in underwear is also tighter than the other pairs in the same size.

These shorts are very comfortable. I bought these in a medium and they fit, I then bought another pair in medium and they were much smaller. Just realized the first pair I was sent was actually a large. There is a white tag on the inside of the pants (about half way down) this tag will tell you what size you actually have.
